AIDS/Transmission

Question
Hi Terry,

About a week ago I met a girl at a club (I knew her friend) and brought her back to a friends hotel room. I fingered her (I don't know the proper term) and she jerked me off (again sorry for the bluntness I don't know the terms). That night before I went out I showered and cut my fingernails. I cut some of them too short and had small cuts under my nails, didn't bleed, there was no blood. What's the chance of contracting HIV through this manner? When should I receive a test reveal any concrete results?

Thank you

Darren

Answer
Dear Darren:

Peace and all good things to you and yours.  There appears some variety of opinion on what constitues "intact skin" but an injury that doesn't bleed would seem not to provide access to the bloodstream; therefore some protection provided by your skin.  This might not even be considered a significant exposure; the degree of risk is minute, though if you wanted to be safe, protect yourself and others from your blood or semen for at least six weeks and be tested for HIV at that time.

Hope this helps,

Terry

P.S.(Digital stimulation and/or mutual masturbation are the technical terms but I managed to understand what you were asking.)
