IF A DOCTOR IS HIV POSITIVE SHOULD HE TELL HIS PATIENTS BEFORE OPPERATING ON HIM OR HER?WHAT IF HE IS DOING SURGERY AND THE DR. GETS A BLOODY NOSE AND THE PATIENT IS OPPEND UP

Answer
No, healthcare workers are not required to tell patients of their HIV status. They are required however to use universal precautions which means they wear gloves, masks etc to create a barrier between them and other people. The protections go both ways with universal precautions.
