QUESTION: I had a sex with a prostitute and condom breaks and it contacts for 3-5 seconds .

i feel many symtoms after 3 weeks ( fatigue and tiredness)
after 6 weeks no fatigue but headache and sore throat .( no fever till now)

after 52-53 days I went to labortory and got my western Blot test ( He takes three days to deliver the result )

the result is as follows

P17          nagetive
p24          nagetive
P31          nagetive
P55          nagetive
P51          nagetive
P66          nagetive
GP 41          nagetive
GP 120          nagetive
GP 160          nagetive
HIV-2 Specific antibody -----  nagetive
Serium Control band          Reactive


after this , Doctor told me you need not to worry b coz this test is effective within 2 weeks after exposure.

I am still tense , Please answer me is this test after 53 ( ~8 weeks) is reliable to me ) as i have low risc exposure ( as contact was of only 2-3 seconds) ????????

The results you shared show you are clearly not infected with HIV at the time of the test.  The p24 antigen test would have picked up possible infection early on; at eight weeks this is confirmed by negative antibody.

Is P24 is confirmed after few days??

should i relax now??

but there was fatigue , tiredness , sore throat and swollen tonsills was just because of any other infection ???

Dear Singh:

Your test results (including the p24 antigen testing) show you are negative for HIV; this does not mean you did not or could not have contracted other illnesses.  Your symptoms should be brought to the attention of your health professional for face-to-face examination, testing, diagnosis, and treatment.
