Question
I like to be with prostitutes becausu I am married since 1991 and I am a bit fed up with being with the same woman. I pick prostitutes up in my car and get to a hotel, then I get one preservative and use it. I can not find a girl to fuck just with me when I call he up, and not fucking with anyone else...It would be imposible, then I prefer to fuck prostitutes but using condons. Is there any risk on it? What about using double condon?
Thank you

Answer
Dear Aurax:

Peace.  We are probably struggling with some terminology and language issues so I will try to be thorough with my answers.

Your described behavior puts you in contact with the blood, semen, vaginal secretions, (and perhaps breast milk) of strangers on a regular basis.  These are the fluids that transmit HIV from an infected person to another.

Use of a latex condom reduces the amount of these fluids to which you are exposed by protecting the skin of your penis that is covered by the condom from exposure to these fluids.  If all of your skin and mucous membranes that might come into contact with these fluids are covered at all times, HIV cannot pass through the latex in ways that could infect you.  Wearing two condoms is rarely recommended (sometimes in cases of latex sensitivity, an animal skin condom can be worn to protect the wearer or receiver from the latex) and does little to reduce your risk for areas already covered.

Given that sexual behavior often involves contact with these fluids prior to, during, and after intercourse, there remains some reduced risk of HIV transmission even with the use of condoms; be aware that other sexually transmitted infections and diseases, for example Herpes and Hepatitis, are more easily transmitted than HIV.

Using condoms reduces your risk of HIV transmission to or from you significantly - please continue to do so while looking at other aspects of your sexual safety which might further reduce your risk.

Please visit a HIV and/or STI/STD testing and counseling center, or your health professional, for testing of your health status and recommendations on how to further reduce risk.

The best to you and yours.
