AIDS/blood on a hose in toilet

Question
Hi Terry,

This happened over a year ago, but only recently I started worrying again about this incident. I went to a public toilet to pee and I used the water hose to wash my vagina. Only after washing myself I realized that the tip of the hose was covered in blood (not mine).

I've been looking up google for similar situations but couldn't find one that says there's blood on the water hose. What are the odds of contracting HIV in a situation like this?

Thank you so much for answering this question.

Answer
Dear Worried:

Peace.  I am assuming you washed with the water, not the hose, therefore you would be at no risk.  If your vagina and/or skin came in contact with the hose itself, and the blood were fresh and from someone infected (I cannot really imagine how this would happen outside of sharing the hose as a sexual device) there might be some miniscule risk.  Bottom line, I think, is that no real exposure nor risk exist, so your chances of contracting HIV are.. none.

Hope that helps.

Terry
