Question
Have you seen the information on www.duesberg.com ?
I can't find any "establishment" rebuttal and am pretty convinced.
But I don't want to go with that view without hearing the evidence against.

Answer
Dr. Duesberg is only one person, and his theory has not been supported by the rest of the medical community for many reasons:

There are people with HIV who do not have treatment who develop AIDS.

There are also people with HIV who do take treatment and have not yet developed AIDS (after many years). For example, Magic Johnson.

AIDS was identified before the virus was discovered. The common link in all the people who had AIDS was that they also had HIV. There were no treatments available at this time that could have led to AIDS.

Duersberg also hypothesized that recreational drugs lead to AIDS but there have been many people who have developed AIDS that have never used recreational drugs.

These are just a couple reasons why Duesberg's claims do not add up. The following are some links to articles with the National Institute of Health that goes into more explanation. You also can search on the CDC's website and there should be more references there.

The important thing to remember is that all HIV/AIDS medical experts have heard this theory before, and the overwhelming majority dismiss Duesberg's theories.
