Question
there was a kid that poked me with a thread needle and he poked himself first to test if it was sharp... and poked me like a couple seconds to screw around with me but he might have HIV, but is it even a big risk to expose HIV from this problem

Answer
I've never heard of a thread needle infecting anyone...usually it is a syringe which holds blood and injects it into another person's body. That said, anytime that infected blood enters someone's body, transmission is possible. I really think it is very unlikely from what you describe but I cannot say it is impossible.
