Question
Hi, thank u very much for ur response beforehand.
I met a sexworker and she did blowjob (oral sex)without condom and then
protected (with condom) vaginal intercourse with her. After this intercourse, I
got Hiv1 Proviral Dna (PCR) test at 14th day and also i got Vidas Hiv Duo
(p24+anti Hiv) test at 28th day, and both of tests results came back Negative(-)
, Do u think that I need to further testing again, or it is enough accuracy for
DNA PCR and also HIV DUO tests? sorry for my bad english.

Answer
Dear Gemre:

Peace.  The test results you describe suggest strongly that you are not infected.  The p24 antigen test, especially, is reliable for detecting positive results (sometimes even when the person is negative as it does up to 10% of the time).  If you wish to continue to confirm these results, you could visit a counseling and testing site and have the ELISA/Western Blot antibody test done at least six weeks after your potential exposure, but I would be comfortable with the results you have.

Best of health to you and yours.
