Question
Dear Madam,
I am married, and 37 years old, never been had sex a prostitute. In my last trip I felt I would go for a message in one of the famous Salons in China. I have made clear, no sex, but the woman giving me the massage, kept touching her vagina and then touched my penis. I have admit I have surrender to the temptation and she gave me a hand job. I did not have condom on. I am very worried. What are the chances of catching Aids? I am planning to be tested, but some people have told me I need 6 months before any tests can be accurate. I am so afraid I would infect my wife, if I have been infected. Can I test my self immediately.

Answer
Using her hand on you would not transmit HIV. HIV can be transmitted when infected blood, semen, vaginal fluid and/or breast milk enter another person's body. Even with touching herself first, it is not an effective means of transmission.

If you do decide to test anyway, you should wait until 3 months post-exposure to test.
