-----Question-----
Hi,

I am 29 yrs old.Few days  back I came in contact with a mans blood on my fingers of  working hand and also some of my things including clothes.Asuming that the person is infected, HOW CAN I REMOVE/PERMANENTLY DESTROY THE VIRUS  FROMMY HANDS AND OTHER THINGS.

Thanks  and  regards

-----Answer-----
Dear Dexter:

Peace.  A 10% bleach/90% water solution is effective when used to clean blood spills; drying the blood then washing your clothes should do the trick as well.

Good laundering!

Answer
Dear Dexter:

Peace.  The solution I recommended is an easy one to make and use to disinfect - other disinfectants are fine too.  Ordinary household soap would probaby be fine -in the case you describe.  We use the bleach/water mix to clean blood spills and I was just passing along the recipe.  Your question was about removing and destroying the virus from your hands "and other things" so I recommended our method.

No apparent HIV transmission risk to you, by the way, though you asked about how to clean, not degree of risk.
