Question
hi,
I would like to find out about a user , what he has done in last 6 month?the system is :OS/400 V5 R1.

Thanx

Answer
Unless you have been saving the system history logs, there is no way to look at activity as far back as 6 months. Generally, the logs are only kept a few days.
If you want to track the activity of a particular user, there are a couple changes you need to make. First, the system logging level will need to be set so that all joblogs are kept. Be aware this change affects all users and the outq (QEZJOBLOG) will grow in size very fast. It will need to be monitored and any joblogs you do not want will need to be deleted.  Joblogs from the specific user should be fairly easy to identify, assuming they log in with a unique user ID.  I believe it is also possible to setup a separate job description for just that user which will log their activity, but that is beyond my expertise.
