Dear All :
   My company will change the all user ID of the AS400, Every old User ID will mapping to a new User ID. Unfortunately, there are thousands of PGMs use Program Status Data Structure postion 254-263 to get USER ID information for following process. We try to avoid to modify all the source code. Our plan is to replace the value of PSDS position 254-263 with old USER ID when User sign on with new User ID,then we can limit our modify effort to the minimum. But is there any avaliabe utility pgm to do this ? Or anyone has better idea to do this ? work?

Answer
To my knowledge, the Program Status Data Structure is a read-only structure, and not able to be updated through a user program.  I don't know of a way to accomplish what you want to do without modifying your many source programs.  I don't understand your company's need to change all of the user ID's.
