AS400 Mid Range/As/400 9402-236 Print problem

Question
I am working to recover some print reports for a client that were accidentally deleted from their main system prior to printing. In order to do that I simply restored their data to their 'backup system' (9402-236) to rerun the procedure.

When any program attempts to print, or even just use of the 'print key' for a screen print we receive the following error 'SYS-0055 Nonprivileged pgm accessing privileged transient', causing a task dump. We cannot print anything at all.

I have reloaded #Library from backup tapes, reconfigured and IPL'd several times and I can find nothing on this error.

All help and suggestions would be appreciated! I know the system is old (and this particular box has not been used in 4-5 years) but it should still work.

Thanks!

Answer
Sorry Mark, I'm not able to help with this one. That 236 is just too old and I've forgotten almost everything about the S/36 environment.   Out of curiosity, what is their main system? If it is a 436 or newer AS/400, that may be the issue. There were some significant changes between the 2 systems and I'm not sure how well you can 'go back'.
It sounds like these reports can only be run once on the main system? If they are that important, can you do a backup of the main system, restore the 'old' data, run the reports, then restore the current data again? Just a thought.
