AS400 Mid Range/Connect to V5R1 IFS using Win 2008

Question
Is it possible to make a network connection from Windows 2008 to folders on the IFS in V5R1? It works OK in V5R3.

Answer
 I would 'think' so, however, I do not have either a Win2008 server or V5R1 system to test with.  The IFS structure and Netserver (the AS400 windows functionality) are pretty much the same between V5R1 and V5R3.  You can't really hurt anything by trying. Configure Netserver on the V5R1 system and start it. Try to connect from the Win2008 server and see what you get.  If an error message appears, repost it here and I'll see if I can help with it.
