Question
I am a beginning programming student and would like basic information on these subjects.
There are several good sources for classroom or self-study courses on AS/400 operations and RPG programming. A good (and logical) place to start is with IBM. You should find a number in your local phone book for IBM. The person who answers can direct you call to the right support person. Trade magazines, such as Midrange Computing, and AS/400 Magazine also often have advertisements for training courses. Classroom training can be expensive ($50 per half day or more) and are often held only in central locations, such as New York City or Boston, which often means travel expenses.
