I'm new to AS400 ,right now i want a CL program to check the ASP utility on hourly basis.right now we check this using DSPSYSSTS command manually..we want the program to be an AUTOSTARTJOB.
plz Advice

You will need to write a simple CL program called CHKSYSSTS.
The commands are:
CHKSYSSTS: PGM
LOOP: DSPSYSSTS OUTPUT(*PRINT)
DLYJOB DLY(3600)
GOTO CMDLBL(LOOP)
END: ENDPGM
Compile the CL program using the CRTCLPGM command.
Then use the ADDAJE command to add an autostart job entry for subsystem QBASE, job name CHKSYSSTS, job description QPGMR in library QGPL.
