Question
I was wondering since you's are experts i was wanting some information about mid range computers
would you happen to have any information on this subject if you do it would be really appreciated and thank you for taking the time to read through my e-mail

Answer
Midrange computers are a class of business computer - larger than a PC and different than a PC - yet smaller than a mainframe.  They are used primarily by small to medium-size businesses, although some - like the AS/400-iSeries - grow large enough to support very large businesses.  Software for midrange computers is typically written in a business programming language, like COBOL or RPG.  Some midrange computers can also act as servers for a PC network, or link to the internet.  If you imagine that a PC is like a motorcycle, a midrange computer is like a minivan.
