Question
I currently use SQL on the AS400 to manipulate data, I need to learn RPG. I learn best in a classroom setting. What do you reccommend?
ATS offers self-study courses in RPG; IBM used to offer actual classes - you might check with them. You might be able to find RPG classes at a local university or business college.
Probably the most workable approach would be to find a local programmer who knows RPG and is willing to tutor you. For me, the best way to learn is from a good concrete example, and with a good person to ask questions of. Once you have a basic background in RPG and have written a few programs, if you get stuck, write me.
