AS400 Mid Range/Refreshing displays

Question
One of our users want an automatic periodic refresh of a normal DDS subfile display. I have never heard of this in RPG, is it possible?

Answer
The AS/400 and iSeries computers are different than some other computers, in that from the time a screen is displayed until the time the user presses ENTER (or a command-key), processing is controlled by the workstation, not the AS/400.  So the user needs to press a key before control is returned to the system.  This results in better overall system response time, but it also means that, in order to refresh a display, the user must first press a key.
