AS400 Mid Range/level check

Question
Can you change pf's from level check *no to *yes - without re-compiling your programs?

Answer
When you specify that a physical file is level-check *YES, you're actually saying that you want the system to check, before executing a program, that the program has been complied over the current version of the file. So any program that actually HAS been compiled over the current version of the file should not need to be recompiled if you change the PF to level-check *YES.
