Question
QUESTION: i have a usrprf under qpgmr, yet i still have to do the level check *NO when compiling a prtf. is there an option on my usrprf i missed?

ANSWER: Level check *YES means that, before a program executes, the system verifies that the program was compiled over the current version of the file. If the program was compiled over an earlier version of the file, you could get unwanted results. For best results, I would use *YES as the level check option.

QUESTION: i am on an as400 that literally has 50 libraries from prior temps to contract personnel. i swear years ago i used a tool called where used. is there an option on the 400 that matches object creation dates with source creation dates? and would atleast tell me the next match. i believe some source code was deleted after the objects were moved to the production library out of test. thanks

Answer
IBM does not provide a tool to match object creation dates with source dates. But you can use the DSPPGM or DSPOBJD commands to determine from which source member and library a program was compiled.  You could also use the DSPFD for QRPGSRC with the *MBRLIST option to create a file that contains the source member and library name and print a list from that.
