If i deposit a check on the weekend and need the money immediatly with a pending status. Will the bank overdraft me on any charges made to the account before the next business day?

Hi -

Yes, unfortunately the bank will charge you an overdraft fee if the account goes negative before the deposited check clears.

You have a couple options:
1) deposit the check at the teller windows instead of the ATM. Ask if they can allow the funds to be available sooner. Each bank does have the ability to allow some of the funds to be withdrawn early.

2) If you have already deposited the check and spent the money (leading to a negative balance), ask for the overdraft fees to be waived.
