Question
I had an abortion about 3 weeks ago and I was about 6 weeks pregnant how long should I experience breast pain? My breast were feeling normal after surgery but then a few days ago they started hurting again and they are pretty sore off and on  and I have not had sex since my surgery is this normal

Answer
Dear Marie,
Your pregnancy symptoms should be completely gone in a month.  It is a little concerning that the symptoms were gone and then the symptoms came back. Check a pregnancy test, just to be 100% sure that everything is fine.  It should be negative or faint negative by now.  If that is the case, everything is normal. If it is positive, write me back.
I hope this is helpful,
Doctor Joan
