i recently had an abortion on oct 3. i had bleeding afterwards which i know is normal then it stopped then like 2-3 weeks later i had my period it lasted 9 days then 2-3 weeks after that period i came on my period again my longest period lasted 14 days is this normal
Dear Honey,
This sounds normal. It is common after an abortion to have irregular periods like this. At this point, I don't think you need an evaluation. I would just wait and see what happens. Your periods should go back to normal. Alternatively, you might want to try starting on birth control pills. They can help regulate your periods. However, this would only be for your comfort and to prevent pregnancy; there is no medical problem at this point that needs to be treated.
