Hello Dr. Joan,
I am from India and I was taking contraceptive pills before I had concieved. At the age of 20 I had an abortion through medical pills due to my education and confusion. After my doctor's consultation I continued taking the contraceptive pills after the abortion. Following 3months later, I stopped.
I am 22 now and its been more than a year. Neither my periods are regular nor have I concieved. Should I be concerned? Is it because of the contraceptive pills or medical abortion pills that I'm not able to concieve? Has my fertility been affected? Could you tell me whether will I be able to concieve again? And what measures should I take to get pregnant? I am desperate for answers, please help.

I'm not sure if you meant this question to be for me but I will try to answer. I cannot tell you over the internet if you can conceive or not. You will have to go to a medical doctor and get a check up. Did you have your checkup after you abortion last year? From what you said, you are not on any kind of birth control right now?
