Hi Dr. Joan,
I really hope that you could help me with my problem. Actually, I am pregnant for more than 7 weeks now, it is turning on its 8th week on the 28th of Oct. I am a Filipina, currently working here in Dubai, UAE. I really wanted to do the medical abortion as early as possible. I'd been trying to find abortion pills here in this country, but I cant find any. I am also as discrete as I can be since this is a Muslim country, and I can be put in  jail if i will ask some persons/doctors here in a vulgar manner. Can you help me regarding this one? Do you know someone or a doctor here in Dubai who is prescribing or selling the abortion pills I need? Or can you refer me to someone who can send these pills to me through courier? (I'm not sure regarding this courier thing since it's so strict here in Dubai, and I am not so sure regarding their customs policy. Thank you so much.

I'm afraid I don't know how to help you.  Probably the best thing is to discretely ask around to other women - I am sure there is some way to find these services.  Most countries do have access to misoprostol. These are tablets that are also used to treat ulcers, that you can put in your vagina and can cause a miscarriage.  If you find them, you can find the instructions for how to take it on: gynuity.org.  Search for Misoprostol: instructions for use.
