Answer
Dear Ashley,
It sounds like you had a failed medical abortion.  I am surprised by your story - did you have a follow up visit after taking the second medications (misoprostol)?  Did you call them to let you know you had a positive pregnancy test? I am surprised they did not have you come in for a check up.
As far as the situation you are in right now, you will likely need to end the pregnancy.  Misoprostol causes birth defects, so you do not have much of a choice at this point.  I am so sorry this happened to you. This is extremely unfortunate.
What state/country do you live in?  Do you know where to get help?  If not, I would certainly start with whoever prescribed the RU486.
Let me know if I can help you further,
Doctor Joan
