Hi Vanessa,
 I had an abortion on 11/14/08. I have not received my period yet, and I am getting worried that I may be pregnant. My boyfriend and I had sex on December 6th. We used a condom and things seemed fine so I didn't think anything of it. However, the last two times we had sex, it seemed as though semen had spilled out of the bottom. There was thick white discharge at the base of his penis. Because of this (and since we had sex 2 times in 3 days) I went to PP and got Plan B. Now thinking back, I am really worried that this same thing happened the first time we had sex. I have heard a lot of times that people are more fertile after an abortion so I am really worried that if the condom did leak at the base than I could be pregnant again, something I definitely do not want. Do you think it's possible or am I just being overly worried about this?
Thanks so much for your response! I hope I get my period soon! (I also had my two week check up  and they said my cervix was closed and everything was fine.. not sure if that matters but just in case).. and no I'm not on the pill.

I just found your question in the question pool so evidently it had been in there for a couple of weeks. When a question is in the question pool, it means that whoever you asked it to was not able to answer for some reason. So I hope I can answer but has anything happened since you posted this? Have you had your period yet? I would like you to read the article on http://www.optionline.org about Plan B also called the Morning after pill. In my opinion, this is not something you will want to take again. You can also find a pregnancy resource center to get a free pregnancy test if you still feel you might be pregnant. The condom or any kind of birth control method is not 100% safe from getting pregnant. Also, I don't recommend any kind of hormonal birth control methods because I feel it's unhealthy to put a lot of hormones into our bodies. The only 100% safe birth control method is abstinence.
