About Pat G
Expertise
I can help women with the consideration of their decision, and with resources, and I can share my own experiences as the mother of seven and grandmother of six. My approach is to show love and concern, and help women work through the issues, emotional, spiritual, practical. I also help women deal with boyfriend and family issues.

Experience
I have been working with women who are considering abortion for several years. I also work with women who have had abortions. Our family has also experienced adoption, so I can talk about that as well.

Education/Credentials
I am mostly self-taught. I also studied midwifery for awhile. I have spent years doing research on this topic. In fact, I have been doing research and working in this area since the early 1970's. I have been helping women online for a few years, under the guidance of a woman who was formally training in counseling.

Question
i am 2.5 months pregnant.
last night i started bleeding lightly.
and i suspect i am having a miscarriage.
i am having an abortion on December 2
can i still get an abortion if i am bleeding ?

Answer
Hi, Kaylynn,

They won't care if you are bleeding or not. But why take a chance? Abortion is dangerous, and if you are having a miscarriage, it will take care of itself. Let it play itself out. Then go to a decent doctor (not an abortionist) and let him determine if the miscarriage is complete. If not, he can complete it. But there's no reason to put yourself at risk like that if you are having a miscarriage anyway. Don't worry about keeping the appointment. Call and cancel, or just don't go. If later on, you find out it's not a miscarriage, you still should be under a doctor's care, because bleeding like that isn't normal. I had a pregnancy like that. It lasted for four months, and then I lost the baby. But please do go to the doctor.

Stay safe!
