hi!
well,I had an abortion February 16.After the abortion i bled for 2 day or 3.Then, I waited 3 weeks and went to the check up they did a pregnancy test it came out negative.its been 4 weeks since the abortion and i still didn't get my period.when am In suppose to get it?

Hi Yamila,

It could take anywhere from now until a month or two to get your period and/or get your cycle back to normal. I'm not a medical doctor so please check with your physician. If you have any post abortion problems, please let me know-such as emotional, psychological, spiritual, etc.

Also I just found this answer on a website:

"Answer: When a pregnancy occurs, your body produces a hormone called hCG, which suppresses the production of the hormones that stimulate ovulation. Your menstrual cycle cannot return to normal until the level of hCG drops to zero. This is why it may take 6 weeks or longer for your menstrual cycle to return to normal. If you are still concerned, you should see a health care provider for an evaluation."

Almost 22 years of on-the-job training onsite at abortion clinics and volunteering at pregnancy resource centers. Sonogram training and Post Abortion Counseling Training. Have done research with hundreds of women for almost 23 years regarding abortion, pregnancy and post-abortion healing.
