Experience I have been working with women who are considering abortion for several years. I also work with women who have had abortions. Our family has also experienced adoption, so I can talk about that as well.
Education/Credentials I am mostly self-taught. I also studied midwifery for awhile. I have spent years doing research on this topic. In fact, I have been doing research and working in this area since the early 1970's. I have been helping women online for a few years, under the guidance of a woman who was formally training in counseling.

I must say, for as much as I respect Pat's opinions and answers, over and over again I constantly see "abortion is not safe" "there is a xx% chance of this and that" "it will affect your fertility".. these are completely unfounded statements, and are issues still being contemplated and figured out by the medical community. "Women often become suicidal" i would LOVE to see the numbers to back these comments up, because they don't exist. "breast cancer due to abortion".. what?! I mean come ON. These are completely unsupported assertions.
I also don't get how it can be mentioned that "adoption is MUCH safer".. have you ever read the list of complications and possible deadly effects of pregnancy and childbirth?
I respect the input, but I think a more balanced approach is needed here.
