QuestionHi
I was 2.50 months pregnant when I had an abortion on 8th April 08 (abortion pill) under doc supervision and the second medicine about 2 days later,But it was an incomplete abortion,
I had serious stomach pains because of which i was admitted on 18th April 2008 and the doc conducted surgical abortion.
The doc have advised me to go on birth control pills (as this pregnancy was due to failure of condoms )as my husband and i don't plan to have a child for another 2 years.
My Question is that will i be able to conceiv later on and have a normal child? Also what care should i take , i am really worried please help
Thanks
June
AnswerJune,
I can't give you a yes or no answer to the question of whether you will conceive again. The doctor (and I should add I am not a doctor) most likely recommended birth control for..well birth control and not to help or hurt your chances of conceiving in the future. Birth control pills can thin your uterus and make it more difficult to conceive later, although there isn't a lot of research in this at all. My advice would be to talk to your OB/GYN about this and make sure you report any abnormal bleeding, especially clots bigger than a dime.
