About Pat G
Expertise
I can help women with the consideration of their decision, and with resources, and I can share my own experiences as the mother of seven and grandmother of six. My approach is to show love and concern, and help women work through the issues, emotional, spiritual, practical. I also help women deal with boyfriend and family issues.

Experience
I have been working with women who are considering abortion for several years. I also work with women who have had abortions. Our family has also experienced adoption, so I can talk about that as well.

Education/Credentials
I am mostly self-taught. I also studied midwifery for awhile. I have spent years doing research on this topic. In fact, I have been doing research and working in this area since the early 1970's. I have been helping women online for a few years, under the guidance of a woman who was formally training in counseling.

Answer
Hello, Deepak,

I am sorry to hear of your difficulty. This kind of heavy bleeding is a common complication. I don't know of a medicine that can stop the bleeding.

I cannot personally give you medical advice, so these are general comments, not specific to your wife. I tell you this strictly as information.

There are a couple of herbs that sometimes work to stop bleeding, but I don't know if they will in a case like this.

Look under "styptic".

"Herbs that arrest or reduce external bleeding due to astringent action on blood vessels: yarrow, horsetail, cayenne, plantain."

I have personally used cayenne, and it is good for some types of bleeding. But bleeding in this case is due to the fact that strong hormones were used, and they upset a woman's delicate hormonal balance. So I have no idea if styptic herbs will work.

Cayenne is a very spicy herb, a red pepper. I think some curries have a lot of cayenne in them, but I don't know which ones.

You should take her to a doctor. Don't let her bleed heavily for a long time; it will cause anemia and other problems. And if she bleeds long enough, she will have to have blood transfusions and possibly surgery to save her life. So take her to a doctor in the next day or two. If you know a doctor who is familiar with herbs, that would be a good one to go to. If she hemorrhages, get help for her immediately!

Do not rely on a person who would help you get an early abortion, or any other abortion, for that matter. This includes chemists, women who sell pills on the street, pharmacists, doctors, or anybody else. Abortion is dangerous.

You will be in my prayers. Please let me know how she does.
