Hi.  I had a surgical abortion five days ago and was 6 weeks pregnant at the time of the termination.  I'm just wondering how long it usually takes hormones to go back to normal after an abortion?  At only 6 weeks, I gained about 5-8lbs and I'm guessing this is a result of being pregnant itself and just want my weight to be back to the way it was before i became pregnant.  Thank you.

So I will try to help you. First of all, since I am late in answering, has any new info come up to help us understand your situation. I would recommend asking your doctor about the weight gain and any other side effects. I would think by this time, your body and cycle might be getting back to normal. Have you noticed this?
