I had a medical abortion done on the 1st of August (the pill part), on the 3rd of August inserted the tablets (where they need to go) I had the expected bleeding, everything went fine minus a minor temp. A week and a half later August 16th to be exact I had unprotected sex and he did ejaculate inside me. Now it's Sept 1st, I don't know WHEN my period is suppose to arrive (normally I would get it between the 11th-15th) I KNOW it wasn't smart to have unprotected sex given the high risk after the abortion, but how soon can I take a home pregnancy test and get a accurate reading? I don't have medical insurance so I didn't make it to the 3rd week check up like I was suppose to, I'm really worried I might be pregnant again and I would be really embarrassed to have to go back to the SAME clinic for another medical abortion so soon. I have not that this would probably matter, but have had a lot of stress, grandmother passing away and then this on my mind, I'm getting what "seems" to be morning sickness to me, but I want to believe it's nerves.

Thanks for your question. It is possible that you could be pregnant but I'm not really sure when you should test. I recommend that you contact a pregnancy resource center in your local area. Perhaps you should wait until after the 11-15th to take a pregnancy test since that is when you would normally get your period.  I'm sorry that you didn't get to go to your post abortion checkup because that would have been best for your health. You can't tell if you are having morning sickness or if it is just nerves like you said. Well, contact the pregnancy center and let me know what happens.
