hi..
i had surgical abortion on fri, 5th sept at a medical center.
the doctor gave me antibiotics to eat for next 5 days.
i had no pain whatsoever and not much bleeding which stopped on sun, 7th sept.

i then went for my follow-up checkup on 12th sept, and the doctor gave mercilon pill to eat the next 21 days.
a few days after eating the pill, i felt bloated often and my labia minora felt itchy occasionally.
i was concerned if its infection, but i had no weird discharge or any pain. i thought if it doesnt stop, then i would go see the doctor on sat, 20th sept.

then on fri nite (19th sept), i had light spotting, and on 20th sept, i started bleeding..not heavy, but more like the 4th/5th day period. i also have slight backache, on the left side near the waist.
i have not gone to see my doctor as he is on leave til 22nd sept.

is there anything i shld be concerned with? or is this normal?
my doc did mention tt i might hv some bleeding as the uterus shed the lining where the baby was..just tt i thought tt would happen after the 21 day pill finished, not a week after starting to eat it.

How are you doing? Let me know if you have gone to the doctor by now.
I would advise you to see your doctor as soon as possible or go to another doctor to get a 2nd opinion. I have not heard of the itchiness after having an abortion. Perhaps you are right that it could be an infection. Please email me at DCHERYL51@yahoo.com and we can talk more.
