i am a college student ,my age is 22 years,my health is very good.my name is Amii.
i got pregnent as confirmed by strip test & later by a doctor.as i am a student i was unable to get abortion done in a hospital.so after going thru net & some feed back from my friends i have taken one tablet of MTPILL(Mifepristone Tablets 200mg)and after 8 hours two tablets of MISOPROST(Misoprostol Tablets 200 mg).And again two tablets of MISOPROST(Misoprostol Tablets 200 mg)after 8 hours. heavy bleeding  some stomach n a little dizzyness happening.
pls suggest if i will be safe and will my preganancy be aborted with the above drugs.
m not in a situation to be diagonised in a hospital.
kindly suggest me if any precaution can be taken in future to counter side effects of the above drugs and if ever i will be able to give birth to my childern.
m very much stressed after going thru more stuff about the used drugs. my age is 22 years and healthwise i am very good.

Dear Amii,
It sounds like your experience with the abortion pill (mifepristone, misoprostol) is successful.  You took both the Mifepristone and Misoprostol at the correct time and dose, and you have had heavy bleeding.  If your bleeding was heavier than a period, more than likely it was successful.  

You can confirm that the pregnancy is over by: a decrease in pregnancy symptoms (if you had symptoms), a follow up blood test or ultrasound.  A urine pregnancy test is usually not helpful to determine if the abortion pill was successful -it can take weeks for it to turn negative.

The abortion pill is completely safe for future pregnancies.  You should have no difficulty getting pregnant when you want to.  There are no long term side effects of taking the abortion pill.
