Abortion - Post abortion hormones

Question Hi Diane,
I'm hoping to find out what level of hcg/mIU can be expected four weeks after a surgical abortion. I was at 8 weeks gestation. I understand that home tests can remain positive for an undefined period after the procedure. I've just been researching at what hcg level different tests respond hence the need to be able to compare the hcg required for the tests and my own. I'm sorry if I've worded this a bit haphazardly. My concern at the moment is if it's normal or possibly a new pregnancy. I was on antibiotics for a week after the procedure, began the pill the day after those finished but started on the non active section, and waited the required 7 days of beige pills before having regular intercourse. I'm unsure if I have gone about this the correct way. Thank you for your time.
Answer Amy,
It's most likely that this is just hormones from before. However, I can't guarantee that. You will have to wait a couple of weeks and see what happens. Try to relax and stay calm. Let me know what happens. You can email me at CHERYL51@aol.com and we can talk more. Also, if you need post abortion healing counseling, let me know that. Talk soon.
