About Pat G
Expertise I can help women with the consideration of their decision, and with resources, and I can share my own experiences as the mother of seven and grandmother of six. My approach is to show love and concern, and help women work through the issues, emotional, spiritual, practical. I also help women deal with boyfriend and family issues.
Experience I have been working with women who are considering abortion for several years. I also work with women who have had abortions. Our family has also experienced adoption, so I can talk about that as well.
Education/Credentials I am mostly self-taught. I also studied midwifery for awhile. I have spent years doing research on this topic. In fact, I have been doing research and working in this area since the early 1970's. I have been helping women online for a few years, under the guidance of a woman who was formally training in counseling.

Question Hi,
On 16th October 2009 I took an at home pregnancy test because my period which should have came on the 13th was late and i felt kinda sick the test was positive and I decided not to keep the child.
I went to a medical provider and i got the abortion pill he told me to take these four small pills and told me to take them orally all at once. I took them and about a half hour later i had some heavy bleeding with lots of clots after a day it was like a normal period and with in was bleeding for about a week and spotting for another week. two weeks later i took another test and it showed me i am still pregnant I don't really feel sick just a few cramps and bloating.
What should i do does it mean I am still pregnant should i go to the doctor or should i wait ? I would be glad for any advice you can give me. The first day of my last period was the 13th of September.
Thanks
Answer Hi, Keisha,
I can't tell you whether or not you are still pregnant because sometimes after abortion, pregnancy hormones persist for awhile. You would have to retest, and the better way is for you to have a test that shows the levels of your hormones. That way, they can see if there is less of the pregnancy hormones with the next test. Whoever that medical provider was, he gave you something dangerous that could kill you, and he should be expelled. Go to a doctor you can trust. Find one who doesn't believe in abortion. Abortion is bad medicine no matter how it is done. Any kind of abortion can kill you.
I don't know what to tell you about feeling kinda sick. You may have had the flu. For the sickness that accompanies pregnancy, perhaps the best remedy is to sip ginger ale or ginger tea. Also, some women eat a cracker before getting out of bed in the morning. Some report that watermelon is also helpful.
Please find a decent doctor and let him examine and test you. You need someone who still believes in ethical medicine. Let him guide you. Please take care of yourself and don't take any more chances. Let me know how you do.
