Question
The evening before my period was due I had sex. We used a spermicidal condom, when my fiance pulled out after he ejaculated we realized that the condom had slipped off inside of me. 2 hrs later I took the first plan b pill and the other 12 hrs later. I'm usually on the nuvaring except for the one week I take it out so I can have my period. I have been on it since august of 06. I'm two days late now, how long do I have to wait to take Mis. pills, where can I get them. I would like to take them already so I can start my period.

Answer
Dear Briana,
It is very unlikely you got pregnant from what you describe.  If you are regularly on nuvaring, it is still effective during the week you took it out.  The condom is added protection but not necessary for birth control.  I would wait one week after the incident, and if you don't bleed, check a pregnancy test.  I would not advise you to take misoprostol in this situation, since most likely you are not pregnant.  Late periods are common and normal.
