 my wife had done a abortion using the pills(MTP) this months 1st(she had her menstruation started ) and we had and unprotected intercourse on 10th of this month, does she have a chance to conceive is so what do i do so that pregnancy is avoided?  if she has a pregnancy what are the chance that the baby will be healthy?

ANSWER: Dear Naveen,
Within 14 days after the abortion your wife could be fertile again.
So you can count for yourself. The chance that the baby will be healthy
is not influenced by the abortion. But why have unprotected sex ?

QUESTION: Hi Dr Shan,
      i want to know if we have and MTP again will it be a problem for my wife, and also that due to the previous abortion will there be chances of a miscarriage, yes true it is not good to have unprotected sex but my wife dosent like condoms

Dear Naveen again,
If you want to know if an MTP will be a problem for your wife...ask her.
If the abs are performed by a doc in a medical setting there is no aditional risk for a miscarriage.
Wifes never protest against the use of condoms. Men do.
