yes i had an abortion on february 6th and it is not february 13th. i am still bleeding heavily enough to wear i have to wear a pad and it is dark red like i am having a period. i have just started having little blood clots recently as well. is this normal? should i still be bleeding enough that it is almost like a period? i am really nervous....
Dear Sarah,
The bleeding you are describing after an abortion is completely normal after an abortion, and there is no reason for concern. It is common for bleeding to come and go. It can be heavy, light, or like spotting, or there can be clots. It can be red or brown. It is all normal. However, if you are having severe cramps with the bleeding, or the bleeding continues daily for more than 3 weeks, you should get an evaluation by a doctor.
