Question
I had  an abortion in my 4th week. I took the first pill on 31 JAn 09 and 2 more pills on 1 feb 09. I bled on 1st feb and it continued till 9th feb. Me and my husband had a intercourse on 10th feb and he ejaculated inside me. Now am worried that i might conceive again. If i conceive will my child have any deformity if i continue wid my pregnancy?

Dear Resh,
It is possible, but unlikely that you got pregnant right after the abortion.  The only way to know will be to check a pregnancy test in a few weeks.  If you check one now, it will probably be positive from your original pregnancy.  In a few weeks the test should be more accurate.  In the unlikely event that you are pregnant a second time, there are no medical issues with either ending the pregnancy again, or in continuing the pregnancy.  The medications from the abortion pill are completely out of your system within days, and would not affect a pregnancy conceived a month later.
