Question
Okay here is my story!  On November 26, 2007 I had an abortion at 10 weeks, I then had my period on January 5, 2008, I was trying to get pregnant again with my now husband!  On Jan. 31, 2008 my test was positive!  Worried that it could be the same baby ( from first pregnancy) When I went for my first ultrasound i told them my LMP (jan. 5 and i never told anyone about the abortion) and they did measurements and my due date was never changed.  So could it be possible it was the same baby from the first pregnancy? Even though I gave birth on Sept. 30th 2008 which would of made me overdue by 14 weeks if it was the first baby, I still worry!  I know this sounds crazy but I just need reassurance! Thank you! Hope I didn't confuse you!

Answer
Hi Danielle -
It sounds like you have nothing to worry about, and you can put your mind to rest.  It's not possible to have the ultrasound measurements be off by 14 weeks, and it's not possible to be 14 weeks overdue.  You can rest assured that the pregnancy was conceived with your husband in January.
I hope this is helpful,
Doctor Joan
