Abortion/Light period but intense cramps less than four weeks after my abortion.

Question
After my abortion on the 11th of Febuary 2009, I took the pill and has been on it till now. Although I was told to take antibiotics for my cough later on and the doctor told me that my pill won't work but i still have to take it anyhow.
My period came yesterday on the 9th of March and it wasn't a heavy one, and so is today's. Although I did have really bad bad bad cramps yesterday.
I was wondering if this is okay?

Thanks for your question. I'm not sure why the doctor would say to keep taking the pill even though the antibiotics would make it ineffective. Maybe to try to keep your cycle regulated.

I would say consult your doctor about this. Maybe not the abortion one but your regular doctor. What you describe sounds somewhat common though I am not a medical professional.
