Abortion/Scared

Question
I had the medication abortion on January 5, 2009. Because my state doesn't do abortions I had to drive 4 hours to go to a clinic. I never was able to do my follow up visit, because of the road conditions, and so I am do to go in tomorrow morning. I have been on birth control and am using condoms since I had this done. The clinic sent me a test and it came up negative, but since I have not gotten my period I took another one last Sunday and it came up positive. I still haven't gotten my period. The clinic told me not to panic because my hormone level could still be high and show up on a home test. Is this true?

Answer
Hi Heather,

What did you find out? Yes, it's true that your hormone level could still be high. If you ever want a free pregnancy test, you can get one at a pregnancy resource center. You can find a center by going to
http://www.optionline.org or call 1-800-395-HELP. Or try this one
http://www.heartbeatinternational.org/worldwide_directory.asp

If you have any emotional, spiritual, or psychological problems after your abortion, I do offer free post abortion healing counseling.

Write me anytime at DCHERYL51@yahoo.com and hope to hear from you soon. And also, condoms/birth control pills are not 100% effective to prevent pregnancy. Let me know if I can help further.

Sincerely,
Diane Cheryl
