Question
Hi my friend had an abortion about 8 months ago and the emergency room told her she was still pregnant, they did an ultrasound and saw that the pieces were left inside of her.She keeps missing her doctor appointments cause she is scared of what they'll try to do to fix this, she bleeds on and off all throughout the month. What will happen if she don't go to the doctor?Could the parts still be inside her?

Answer
Hi dear Christin,
After an incomplete abortion parts can stay inside for a long time causing irregular bleeding. It should not be to difficult to remove those parts. It should however been done in a hospital setting.
After any abortion an ultrasound investigation can show if the abortion was complete or not. So those docs missed that chance obviously.
Do not worry too much and see that doc , or another one.
Take good care of yourself.
