hello doctor joan..this is nicole, i emailed you few weeks before. I had an abortion last feb 16 and since then i keep on bleeding everyday but there are some days where in the bleeding are small. more like spotting.i asked you regarding this and you said its normal. just now,around 4 weeks after i had an abortion, i had a bleeding again and its fresh blood based on the color. before the color was kinda brown and i guess it was the color of dried blood. Now i am scared cuz i am bleeding and it is fresh blood. im sure its not my mens because its usually slow. please give me your advice on this. Thanks you very much Doctor joan

Dear Nicole,
Fresh blood four weeks after the abortion is completely normal.  It is probably your period.  It's normal for it to be heavier than usual.  Everything you describe sounds normal.
