Hi,

I had an abortion on Feb. 20th and then had a Mirena IUD inserted on March 10th.  I then had sex for the first time after all of this, about two weeks after the insertion.  I still haven't gotten my period  but I have no other symptoms of pregnancy but I was wondering if there is a chance that I could be pregnant again?

Hi Ellen,

There could be a chance of pregnancy but with putting the Mirena in, there could be changes to your normal cycle. You can contact your doctor about this and ask. I think that if you are pregnant and have the Mirena in, then that is dangerous. If you want to get a free pregnancy test, you can contact a local pregnancy resource center.
