Yes, I just wanted to clarify do I need the rhogam shot I just recently had an abortion and I was only 6.4 weeks along at the time?

Answer
This is what I found out:

If your blood is found to be Rh negative (e.g. , O negative, A negative) you will need an injection of Rhogam after your abortion. Rhogam prevents antibodies from being formed in your blood that would cause problems with future pregnancies. If you are Rh negative, it is important that you receive a Rhogam injection with every pregnancy.

So only if you have RH negative blood do you need this rhogam injection. Hope this helps. If you have any questions about post abortion stress syndrome, let me know. I do offer free post abortion counseling.
